Join the Military Order of the Purple Heart
Membership in the MOPH is a lifelong bond among those who’ve borne the wounds of battle. If you are a recipient of the Purple Heart, we invite you to become part of a community built on honor, service, and shared sacrifice.
Membership Eligibility
To qualify for membership in the Military Order of the Purple Heart, you must meet one of the following:
Must provide a DD-214 Member-4 or Service-2 showing:
Award of the Purple Heart Medal
Honorable or General discharge
If the Purple Heart or discharge status is not listed on the DD-214:
Submit a DD-215 or AGO 53-55 with supporting documentation
General Orders awarding the Purple Heart Medal are accepted
Certificates alone are not accepted
Combat-Wounded Veterans
Must provide:
PCS Orders (Permanent Change of Station)
General Orders awarding the Purple Heart Medal
Certificates alone are not accepted
Active Duty Service Members
Note: All documents must be complete and legible.
Membership Fee for Purple Heart Recipients
Lifetime membership is the only membership option. It is $200 and can be paid in a lump sum or $50 quarterly. Interested in a membership? Fill out the form below.
Eligibility for Associate Members
Are you a lineal relative of a Purple Heart Medal Recipient? If so, you qualify for an Associate Membership in the Military Order of the Purple Heart. You can work side by side with the members to assist veterans and their families.

Eligibility for Auxiliary Members
If you are a parent, grandparent, spouse, widow, widower, sibling, child, or grandchild of a combat veteran of a war of the United States, who for their valiant service has been awarded the Purple Heart you can join the Auxiliary. Visit the Auxiliary website to join.
