Instilling Patriotism, Honoring Service
The Military Order of the Purple Heart Department of Arizona (MOPHAZ) proudly supports the Americanism Program — a nationwide initiative designed to promote patriotism, civic responsibility, and a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made for our country’s freedom.
Through educational outreach, patriotic materials, and youth engagement, we work to ensure that future generations appreciate the values of liberty, service, and sacrifice that define the American spirit.
What We Do
Educational Outreach
Our members visit schools, youth organizations, and civic groups across Arizona to provide presentations about U.S. history, the significance of the Purple Heart medal, and the sacrifices made by America’s combat-wounded veterans. These presentations bring history to life and inspire young Americans to value and protect the freedoms they enjoy.
Patriotic Materials
Chapters can access a variety of Americanism materials, including brochures, posters, and flags, to support local events and educational programs. These materials are designed to foster national pride and can be requested at a nominal fee to cover shipping costs.
Youth Engagement and Recognition
The Americanism Program actively supports initiatives such as essay contests, awards, and youth leadership programs that encourage young people to explore themes of patriotism, honor, and civic responsibility. Recognizing outstanding young Americans helps to build a stronger, more informed generation.
